Operators were billing for electricity they could not measure.
Fleet and site managers had meters at the wrong end of the system. Readings arrived late, per asset attribution was guesswork, and disputes were settled by argument rather than data. The brief was not a dashboard. It was a device that decides, records, and reports at the point where power is actually consumed.
Diagnose
Instrumented one site for two weeks to establish a real consumption baseline before specifying anything.
Architect
Controller board, RTOS task model, and a store and forward telemetry protocol that survives dead cellular zones.
Build
Firmware and operator dashboard shipped on the same weekly cadence, with hardware in the loop tests from the first board.
Scale
Over the air update pipeline, fleet monitoring, and a runbook so field teams provision units without engineering.
